About

Gus Wolf Wickerhoff is a Dutch filmmaker and camera operator with over eight years of experience working across documentary, broadcast, and cultural production. He has shot for NTR, worked as a steady presence at venues like Paradiso and Tivoli Vredenburg, and collaborated with directors including Gabriel Lester. His work spans documentary series, aftermovies, showcases, and branded content, always driven by a sharp eye for image, light, and atmosphere.

Rooted in a artistic background from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Gus approaches the camera with both discipline and intuition. He understands that a strong image is never accidental. Whether working on a long form documentary or a single day corporate shoot, he brings the same attention to visual language and the same commitment to getting it right.

As a director, Gus has developed a distinct sensibility for observational storytelling. He is drawn to subjects that exist at the edges of mainstream culture, and to the challenge of rendering complex human experiences in images that feel immediate and alive. This same curiosity shapes his work as a camera operator: he is not just executing a brief, he is reading a space, a person, a moment, and finding the frame that does it justice.

Gus is currently based in Utrecht and available for projects across the Netherlands and abroad.
